Media Accreditation for the FIS Snowboard World Cup in Snowboard Cross has started in Krasnoyarsk

Accreditation of the media companies for the FIS Snowboard World Cup in Snowboard Cross has started in Krasnoyarsk. Competitions will be held at Sopka Cluster on 7-9 January 2022. Applications from officially registered media representatives are accepted until December 28, 2021.

Preliminary entries have been sent by more than 120 athletes from 19 countries: Australia, Austria, Andorra, Argentina, Great Britain, Germany, Georgia, Spain, Italy, Canada, China, Korea, the Netherlands, Russia, the USA, France, the Czech Republic, Switzerland and Japan. We expect to see the winners and prize-winners of the Olympic Games and World Championships, the leaders of the current World Cup season: Eva Samkova (Czech Republic), Michela Moioli (Italy), Chloe Trespeuch (France), Nikolay Olyunin (Russia, Krasnoyarsk), Lindsay Jacobellis (USA), Jarryd Hughes (Australia), Charlotte Bankes (Great Britain), Alessandro Hemmerle (Austria), Nick Baumgartner (USA) and others.

The competitions will be held in individual races among men and women where athletes will compete for 4 sets of medals. Qualification rounds will be held on 7 January, and finals will be held on 8-9 January.

Applications only from officially registered media representatives are accepted until December 28, 2021.

All media representatives must fill out an accreditation form (attached) to obtain the accreditation. The application includes: type of organization, name, contact details, the person responsible for accreditation, as well as the data of journalists who wish to receive accreditation. Please note that you must indicate the correct e-mail in the application, since accredited journalists will receive all relevant information to this address.

It is also necessary to attach a personal photo of each journalist to the application. The photo should have full face, front view, the expression should be neutral, the face should be completely in focus, the background should be one color. Photo requirements: photo should be in color in .jpg format, no more than 1 MB in size, minimum horizontal image size is 425 pixels, minimum vertical image size is 566 pixels, face image should occupy 70-80% of the entire photo. Name of the file should be done in format such as “surname name.jpg”.

All necessary documents must be sent to infodesk@ensib.ru no later than December 28, 2021. Accreditation applications will be considered only if a complete set of documents is available. Applications containing incomplete or inaccurate information, as well as received after the deadline for accepting requests for accreditation, will not be considered. If the application is approved, a confirmation letter will be sent to the specified email address no later than December 30, 2021.

IMPORTANT! When receiving badges at the accreditation centre, journalists will need to present a QR code confirming their vaccination status.

It should be noted that quotas have been set for the number of media representatives: no more than 8 employees can be accredited from TV companies, no more than 3 employees from radio stations, and 5 more applications are provided for news agencies, digital and print media.

TV companies have special regulations for working at the competition. It is forbidden to shoot video of sports competitions from the stands and photo positions, since the TV broadcasting will be conducted by the main broadcaster. At the same time, camera men have the right to work with equipment in the mixed zone for recording athletes’ comments, public areas and in the territory in front of the venue. Accredited media will be provided with highlights such as video clips about the course of the competition, including the best moments of the competition in order to prepare their own videos.

The FIS Snowboard World Cup in Snowboard Cross will be held in Krasnoyarsk for the first time and will become qualifiers for the Olympic Games 2022. The operator of the competitions is Yenisey Siberia Development Corporation. Detailed information about the event can be found on the ensib.ru website.
