The Government of the Krasnoyarsk Territory reviewed long-term plans for the integrated socio-economic development of four core cities: Achinsk, Minusinsk, Lesosibirsk and Kansk.
The development of these documents was carried out simultaneously with the preparation of a new national project “Infrastructure for Life” and the formation of an all-Russian list of key settlements, so each of the long-term plans takes into account the set national goals. City-forming enterprises were involved in the work, each city had its own headquarters for public discussion of development prospects by stakeholders, and the results of surveys of residents and proposals from local governments were taken into account.
Tatiana Magdibur, Minister of Economy and Regional Development of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, presented a comprehensive assessment of the prospects of the main cities, spoke about approaches to the formation of plans, scenario parameters and the main forecast indicators of socio-economic development. Thus, by 2035, the number of able-bodied and economically active people, investment activity, the volume of shipped products and wages should grow in each of the main cities.
All this will make it possible to implement a set of measures to overcome deficits in road, communal, and socio-cultural infrastructure and improve the quality of the living environment. 9.3 billion rubles have already been allocated for these purposes in the regional budget of 2025-2027.
Sergey Vereshchagin, Chairman of the Government of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, focused on the prospects for the economic development of the region’s core cities: “In addition to budget decisions, investment projects should become an important part of the plans for the development of core cities. They will form the economic basis for the development of territories, therefore, a set of solutions is needed to stimulate investment activity. Either within the framework of existing support tools, or it may be necessary to create separate mechanisms to attract investors specifically to the core cities.”
The Yenisei Siberia Development Corporation is working to attract investors to the municipalities.
Sergey Ladyzhenko, General Director of the Yenisei Siberia Development Corporation: “Currently, the Corporation is escorting 34 investment projects totaling 47.2 billion rubles in the main cities of the region. These are projects in the timber and agro-industrial complex, in the field of industry, tourism, logistics and others. Over 2,700 jobs are being created during the implementation of these projects. Investment proposals have been developed for each of the main cities, which can be viewed on the Investment Portal of the Krasnoyarsk Territory.”
Following the meeting, all 4 plans for integrated socio-economic development were recommended for approval by the curators and heads.
