In Krasnoyarsk, within the framework of the Forests of Russia forum, the participants have been presented an exhibition stand on Yenisey Siberia – the Centre of Wooden Architecture.
The stand, which will be open until September 23, invites everyone to take a virtual tour of the Svyatogor’s Hut wooden complex and see all the advantages of a Siberian pine log house. The touch panel will offer information about manufacturers of wooden houses, construction technologies and implemented projects.
Governor of Krasnoyarsk Region Alexander Uss visited the exhibition stand on the first day of its work, and was told about the companies working in the field of wooden house construction in the territory of the Yenisey Siberia.
Sergey Ladyzhenko, director general of Yenisey Siberia Development Corporation, noted that Krasnoyarsk Region has all the necessary resources to be rightfully considered the centre of wooden architecture.
“Yenisey Siberia is incredibly rich in forest resources, and we have all the necessary to actively develop the segment of wooden house construction. As a material for building, the architects are primarily interested in pine, which is widespread in Krasnoyarsk Region. It is also very important for us that there are people on the territory of the Yenisey Siberia who know how to build unique houses, including round-log houses. Such maestros work mainly in the south of the Region, and they have experience in implementing the most complex projects. Moreover, we can be proud of certain successes in training personnel for this industry. For example, Divnogorsk Vocational Technical School of Forest Technology has already begun training specialists in the field of wooden house construction. We see how interest in products made of natural materials, including wooden houses, is growing every year. Taking into account all these factors, it is safe to say that the Yenisey Siberia is a centre of wooden architecture,” highlighted Mr. Ladyzhenko.
Krasnoyarsk residents and guests also attended The Competition of Loggers on the Yenisey – 2022. The show was organized by KedrStyle company, one of the leaders of wooden house construction in Russia. The company joined the Our Champions project, which is implemented by Yenisey Siberia Development Corporation on the initiative of the Governor of Krasnoyarsk Region.
According to the organizers of the competition, the main purpose of this event is to show the inside of architects work and to increase interest in the profession.
“A specialist in wooden house construction is a profession of current interest and is in demand in the modern world. The market creates a demand for professionals who can produce high-quality and durable round-log constructions. The task of Krasnoyarsk Region is to become a centre that will shape such personnel,” said Vasily Patsevich, production supervisor of KedrStyle company, organizer (coach) at the Competition of Loggers on the Yenisey– 2022.
