Yenisey Siberia Regions Investment Potential Presented to Companies from Switzerland and the EU Countries

A presentation of the Yenisey Siberia regions investment potential for the Joint Chamber of Commerce Switzerland – Russia/CIS (JCC) member companies took place in webinar format on October 5, 2020. Sergey Ladyzhenko, Director General of the Yenisey Siberia Development Corporation presented a number of investment projects being implemented in the Krasnoyarsk Territory, that might be of interest to Swiss investors.

The webinar was organized by the Trade Representation of the Russian Federation in Switzerland in cooperation with the Joint Chamber of Commerce Switzerland – Russia/CIS (JCC), which brings together over 200 Swiss enterprises and companies from various sectors of the economy interested in cooperation with Russian companies and regions, as well as in working in the Russian market.

The Managing Director of the Joint Chamber of Commerce Dorit Sallis and the Trade Representative of the Russian Federation in Switzerland Tatyana Volozhinskaya addressed the event participants with a welcoming speech. As part of the webinar, three Russian regions were showcased. Roman Sementsov, Director of the Investment Department of the Far East Agency for Attracting Investments and Export Support and Andreas Bitzi, Deputy Chair of the AEB North-Western Regional Committee, the Chair of the AEB Committee for Small and Medium Business presented investment opportunities of the far eastern and north western regions of Russia.

Sergey Ladyzhenko, in turn, spoke about the competitive advantages of the Yenisey Siberia regions for foreign investment, infrastructure features of the territory and export potential. In addition, Sergey Ladyzhenko presented the Yenisey Siberia CIP and opportunities in the field of deep processing of aluminum, logistics and agro-processing.

“The Yenisey Siberia is a pilot project of interregional cooperation and spatial development, which is designed to ensure high rates of economic and production growth. We are interested in attracting international businesses for cooperation, that can take an active part in the projects implementation, including as industrial partners, suppliers of equipment and technologies,” said Sergey Ladyzhenko.

During the presentation, special attention was paid to such projects as Krasnoyarsk High-Tech Valley SEZ, International Transport, Logistics and Production Hub Based at Krasnoyarsk and Cheremshanka Airports and the Siberia Agroindustrial Park.
