Winners in Freestyle Big Air determined at FIS Junior World Champs 2021 in Krasnoyarsk 2021

More medals were awarded at the FIS Junior World Champs 2021 in Krasnoyarsk. The strongest freestylers in Big Air determined in Sopka Cluster.

Ksenia Orlova became the winner among ladies, she scored 163.75 points in the final and received the second gold medal of the FIS Junior World Champs 2021. “Getting two medals is a very good result for me. Of course, there weren’t many opponents, but still I’m happy. Today, after a mistake in the first try, I no longer expected to win, but I was able to pull myself together. I didn’t do the third, more difficult trick, because the first didn’t work out very well. It helped me a lot that my family supports me. In general, it is very cool here, excellent courses. I liked it all very much”.

The second place was taken by Muriel Mohr from Germany (141.00 points), on the third place is Michelle Rageth from Switzerland with a result of 123.50 points.

Matej Svancer is in first place among men after the final races, with a total of 188.00 points for his performance. The Czech athlete, whose birthday is in 3 days, won two gold medals at the FIS Junior World Champs 2021. After his performance, Matej Svancer said that he did not expect such a result: “It only seems from the outside that we do all the tricks easily. Today my last trick was pretty hard, but I did it the way I wanted to. Of course I’m happy!”

The silver medal went to Daniel Bacher from Austria, who was sixth in the qualification. Today he scored 181.25 points in the final.

 Miro Tabanelli from Italy became the bronze medalist of the FIS Junior World Champs 2021. He unexpectedly got into the top three, getting 167.25 points in the final: “Today was my last performance at this competition and I am very pleased with my final results. I want to congratulate all the participants and also thank my coach and my family. “

Maxim Senkevich and Artem Dulov from Russia are in 7th and 9th places, respectively.

Artem Dulov, the only member from Krasnoyarsk in the Russian national team at these competitions, said that the support of his relatives helped him on the course at these competitions: “My mother and sister supported me during the performance – they helped me to get to the right headspace. Of course, I wanted the results to be better, but I did almost everything from the planned. I think that here is the best course in Russia at the moment “

The FIS Junior World Champs 2021 continues. In the evening program, snowboarders will compete for medals in the half-pipe.
