It is planned to build an environmentally friendly thermal power plant (CHP) in the Boguchansky district of the Krasnoyarsk Territory. The investor is Taiga Boguchany LLC. The company is also creating a biotechnological complex for deep wood processing there, which is included in the Yenisei Siberia CIP. The new thermal power plant will provide the company with electricity and will become the main consumer of pulp and paper production waste.
A by—product of pulp production, black liquor, will be used as fuel at the new thermal power plant. When used, there are no emissions of pollutants into the atmosphere, so the new power plant will be safe for the environment. The construction of the power plant is planned to begin in 2025.
The creation of a biotechnological complex for deep wood processing in the Boguchansky district of the Krasnoyarsk Territory is the largest investment project in the field of forest development in the territory of the Russian Federation. The volume of investments amounts to 150.8 billion rubles, 2,500 new jobs are expected to be created. The enterprise with a capacity of 1 million pulp per year will cover the entire processing cycle – from the procurement of raw materials to the production of high-grade products. Commissioning is scheduled for 2027.
During the implementation of the project, it is planned to further develop the infrastructure of the Boguchansky district, namely, the creation of a new railway line and related facilities.
