The Yenisey Siberia Development Corporation is developing a human resources program for the mining complex based on Ak-Sug copper-porphyry deposit.
The deposit development will require at least 2,000 people with relevant competencies in mining engineering. The program includes the recruitment of engineering and technical staff with higher professional education, as well as workers with secondary and primary vocational education to cover the personnel needs of the enterprise at the operation stage.
The program is planned to:
– organize training and retraining of personnel and to create a territorial database of candidates who have education and work experience in professions that are in demand for the project, as well as of citizens who have applied to the Federal Employment Service of Krasnoyarsk Region and the Tyva Republic;
– coordinate the conclusion of agreements between professional educational organizations of Krasnoyarsk Region and the Tyva Republic on employer-sponsored education;
– hold specialized stages of the “Yenisey Siberia Leaders” HR competition to find and select the personnel for the project and to hold the target championship “The Yenisey Siberia – Profi Generation” based on the WorldSkills standards for competencies in demand for the project;
– ensure the employment of members of the all-Russian youth public organization “Russian Student Teams” at the company facility;
– establish the “Mining technical school” in Kyzyl.
The construction of the “Mining technical school” will be carried out by Golevskaya Ore-Mining company within the framework of an agreement on social and economic cooperation signed between a subsidiary of Intergeo company and the Government of the Tyva Republic.
The upcoming “Mining technical school” will be fitted with advanced equipment and will be able to train 400 people. In addition, a training site and a dormitory for 250 people will be built. The technical school may open its doors to new prospective students already in 2022. Lev Kuznetsov, Director General of “Intergeo” company, at the Council on the improvement of investment climate of the Tyva Republic, noted that the “Mining technical school” should become an integral part of the education chain within the framework of the Yenisey Siberia comprehensive investment project: “It is necessary to identify a specialized higher education institution that could patronize the “Mining technical school” and provide it with personnel and educational resources to have a high level of training of qualified specialists from the first year of education, which is necessary for our investment projects.”
Also, according to this agreement, priority in hiring employees at the enterprise will be given to the citizens of Tyva, and the guaranteed salary will be higher than the average salary in the Republic.
The development of Ak-Sug porphyry-copper deposit is being carried out within the framework of the project of MC Intergeo LLC “Establishment of a battery metal manufacturing company”, which is part of the Yenisey Siberia CIP. The development of Ak-Sug deposit is carried out by “Golevskaya GRK” LLC. The project will create a new driving force of economic growth for the mining and metallurgical industry based on the unique deposits in the South of the Krasnoyarsk Region and the Tyva Republic.
