The participant of the project “Our Champions” expanded the innovative production of activated carbon

The Krasnoyarsk company “New Energy” has implemented a project to expand the innovative production of activated carbon of the STK-A brand in the village of Balakhta of the Krasnoyarsk Territory. The company received a grant for the implementation of the project in 2022 as a result of participation in the competition “Commercialization-import substitution”, which was held by the Fund for the Promotion of Small Forms of Enterprises in the Scientific and Technical Sphere.

STK-A brand coal is a high–tech effective sorbent of a wide range of applications. It is used in metallurgy and the chemical industry for the treatment of wastewater and recycled water, man-made solutions, industrial and domestic wastewater treatment, as well as to eliminate unpleasant odors. In addition, the sorbent is used in incineration plants.

The New Energy company has been implementing the project since 2019. The volume of funds invested in the project exceeds 140 million rubles, currently the production capacity of the enterprise is 5 thousand tons of products per year. In 2022, OOO “New Energy” together with the Siberian Federal University established a small innovative enterprise to conduct scientific research, testing, selection of product parameters necessary for the customer, preparation of technical regulations and creation of new types of products.

Recall that the project “Our Champions” has been implemented by the Yenisey Siberia Development Corporation since March 2022. The aim of the project is to search for promising regional companies, to support them in obtaining federal and regional support measures and to assist in cooperation with large businesses, including with the participants of the Yeniseiskaya Sibir KIP. As a result of the project, companies have the opportunity to reach a new level by increasing production volumes and opening new markets. Currently, 29 regional companies are taking part in the project “Our Champions”.
