The ninth electric filter was put into operation at the Krasnoyarsk CHPP-1

As part of the implementation of the project for the development of the Krasnoyarsk heat supply system included in the Yeniseiskaya Sibir KIP, another, ninth, electric filter was put into operation at the Krasnoyarsk CHPP-1. The capture efficiency of the new filter is 99.7%.

The installation of all 15 electric filters, which are provided for in the modernization plan of CHP-1, will reduce the total emissions of the plant by 20%, and for solid particles by 80%. The work is planned to be completed by the end of 2024 – early 2025.

“In the future, we plan to introduce two boilers, electric filters have already been built for them. They will work at the same time as the main equipment and will fulfill their environmental mission. Then we will start replacing turbines and continue commissioning environmental protection installations,” said Sergey Borodulin, Director of Krasnoyarsk CHPP–1.

The environmental modernization of Krasnoyarsk CHPP-1 began in 2018 with the dismantling of three old chimneys, which freed up space for the construction of electric filters. They replace the existing environmental protection installations – battery cyclones, the efficiency of which is 95%.

The total investment in the renovation of the Krasnoyarsk CHP-1 will amount to 22 billion rubles.
