The Government of the Republic of Khakassia held a meeting of the interinstitutional taskforce for the implementation of the Yenisey Siberia comprehensive investment project. The discussion was attended by the members of the Government of the Republic, representatives of the Yenisey Siberia Development Corporation and the investor companies. The discussion covered the questions of cooperation between investors and scientific, research and education organizations, representatives of the small and medium-sized businesses, HR supply of the project, and coal industry projects.
At the present moment, the Yenisey Siberia Development Corporation is doing some active work on the arrangement of communication between the project investors and the representatives of the scientific and educational sectors, small and medium-size businesses. An agreement on the arrangement of scientific research and application of the current achievements to the coal, forestry and mining industries upon the order of the investors. The Khakassian companies are ready to get involved in the bona fide suppliers’ register, to run meetings with business representatives. The representatives of the Republic participated in the Yenisey Siberia Leaders HR competition; at the present moment, the HR demand data are being updated with the investors.
The questions of implementing coal mining projects with SUEK Khakassia were also discussed. According to the representatives of the company, the project is being actively prepared, with a special focus on the issues of HR supply, communication with the research and education sector, local suppliers and contractors.
Moreover, some promising projects in the spheres of tourism and agricultural products’ processing were presented. The Government of the Republic sees some serious prospects in the development of the non-resource sector of the economy and is ready to provide assistance to such projects.
