A round table “Dialogue between Chinese entrepreneurs and the Trade Representative Office of the Russian Federation in the People’s Republic of China – Movement to Russia” was held in Beijing. The event was initiated by the Chinese International Chamber of Commerce of the Private Sector with the active organizational support of the Trade Mission.
Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce Li Bingshu noted in his speech that Chinese private business is sincerely interested in both trade and investment cooperation with Russian partners representing the business community and various industries. According to the speaker, currently the pace of development of Russian-Chinese trade relations can be compared with the movement on the “expressway”, which requires the governments of the two countries to reach new agreements ensuring the comprehensive maintenance of such dynamics, including in terms of assistance to private business. In turn, representatives of the Trade Mission confirmed their readiness for full-scale cooperation within the framework of their existing competencies.
The meeting was attended by the heads of more than 35 manufacturing and trading companies China, including Peak International Trade Co., LtdHOdo Beijing Investment Co., LtdFang Thong Zhou holdingRed Bean GroupHangzhou Kunze holdings Co., LtdWanfeng aviation industry Co., LtdThe Capital club. From the Russian side, the event was attended by employees of the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia working as part of the Trade Mission, accredited representatives of Bashkortostan and Tatarstan, as well as heads of the offices of the Interregional Association for Economic Cooperation “Siberian Agreement” and the Yenisei Siberia Development Corporation located in Beijing. The Russian participants familiarized their Chinese colleagues with the general measures of state support for foreign investors in our country and informed them about the specifics of this activity at the level of individual regions and business associations. During the exchange of views, proposals were made on the applied aspects of possible cooperation within the framework of specific projects (including in the field of high technology), as well as the common interest of the parties in finding potential partners in a wide range of areas.
Representatives of the Yenisei Siberia Development Corporation presented the economic and investment potential of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, the Republic of Khakassia and the Republic of Tyva within the framework of the event. The heads of Chinese private business expressed their willingness to cooperate in the implementation of investment projects in Russia. In particular, enterprises are interested in building industrial parks in the development of new energy sources, electronics and building materials. Chinese investors are also interested in the project of an international transport, logistics and production hub based on Krasnoyarsk and Cheremshanka airports.

The China International Chamber of Commerce for the Private Sector has more than 500 direct and more than 4,000 associate members, including 32 direct participants included in the list of the 500 largest private companies in China. The main stated task of the chamber is to help private businesses in developing foreign markets and implementing a foreign economic strategy of “moving outside”.
