Research in the youth laboratory of biofuel compositions continues at Siberian Federal University as part of the activities of Yenisey Siberia world-class scientific and educational center.
Scientists started working under the guidance of the head of the laboratory Vladimir Bukhtoyarov a year ago. At that time, the main objectives of the research were the development and optimization of compositions of traditional fuels based on hydrocarbons and biofuels produced as a result of processing plant raw materials. Currently, the laboratory is continuing research in several promising areas. It is planned that the result of this research will be the creation of a complex of technical solutions packaged into a universal module for the production of biofuel compositions. Such a universal module is supposed to be implemented in the form of a mobile “smart container” with an integrated control system based on a network of sensor devices and a smart information management system.
At this moment the scientists have already conducted a number of studies, including in the part devoted to the development of technological equipment and technologies for creating biofuel compositions in the conditions of the Far North, as well as the development of equipment and technologies related to the purification of biofuel.
The next stage of the project is the creation of the elements of a smart information management system that provide the possibility of autonomous use of technological solutions packaged in a smart container.
It should be noted that research in the laboratory of biofuel compositions is carried out by young scientists under the age of 39. The youth laboratory was among the winners of the grant competition of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Russia in the autumn of 2021.
