Vysokogorsky Bridge is 85% ready

The construction of the Vysokogorsky Bridge in the Yeniseysky district is 85% complete. The construction cost is more than 7 billion rubles. The bridge construction project is included in Yenisey Siberia CIP.

Road workers erected all the bridge supports (11 in total), as well as the spans in floodplain part of Yenisey (8 out of 10). The works in the riverbed continue.
The builders are erecting a span between 7th and 8th pillars now. 180 meters have already been installed out of 210. The specialists had to build a temporary support, which will be removed after the installation of the span is completed in order to do this.

The metal structures necessary to complete the construction of the over-water length of the crossing were delivered to the site as well. This is almost 8 thousand tons of steel, which was produced by one of the leading enterprises of the country – CJSC Kurganstalmost.

Another 600 tons of metal structures were manufactured by the general contractor of the AO “Mostostroy-11” at a specialized plant in Tyumen. The construction of the Vysokogorsky Bridge will require 8.4 tons of metal structures total.

“Maximum use of domestically produced materials and components is designated during the construction of the facility, therefore, the current economic situation has not affected the work schedule. The problem of accessing the right bank of Yenisey in the off-season will be solved with the commissioning of the facility. Local residents will no longer have an urgent need to use a ferry in summer and an ice crossing in winter,” Deputy Minister of Transport of Krasnoyarsk Region Dmitry Zotin said.

It is planned to open the Vysokogorsky Bridge to traffic in the fall of 2023. The facility will provide a year-round stable transport connection of the center of the region with Severo-Yeniseysky District  – one of the largest centers of the gold mining industry in Russia, which remains inaccessible by road transportation for a significant part of the year.
