Siberian Generating Company has started installing online monitoring sensors on another stack of the Krasnoyarsk CHPP-1

Siberian Generating Company (SGK) has started installing online monitoring sensors on another stack of the Krasnoyarsk CHPP-1. The work is being carried out as part of the implementation of the project for the development of Krasnoyarsk heat supply system, which is included in the Yenisey Siberia CIP. The project implies comprehensive environmental modernization and expansion of Krasnoyarsk CHPP-1 and increasing the capacity of Krasnoyarsk CHPP-3.

The design, supply of equipment, installation and adjustment of the systems is carried out by ENNOVA company (the contractor of the project). Its specialists have already started high-rise operations — they made eleven through holes in the chimney shaft at a height of 83 meters to install probes and started installing a gas sampling line. The gas will be transported via a special heated line to a fixed gas analyzer located on the ground. It is important to maintain the temperature of the gases before the analysis so that the condensate formed during cooling does not change their characteristics.

The system will measure seven control parameters of the sample: nitrogen oxide and dioxide, sulfur dioxide, oxygen, carbon dioxide and carbon monoxide, and solids (dust). Measurements will be taken continuously and displayed as averaged ten-minute intervals. All equipment for the online monitoring system made by Eurotechlab (St. Petersburg) has already been manufactured and is undergoing factory tests. It should be delivered at the station for installation on the chimney stack No. 4 in December.

Similar equipment has been operating at the new chimney stack No. 5 of the CHPP-1, as well as at the Krasnoyarsk CHPP-2 and CHPP-3. The data of the already installed online monitoring systems is available to everyone at the official website of the Company at sibgenco.ru and are transmitted to the Ministry of Ecology and Rational Nature Management of Krasnoyarsk Region in real time.
