New berths are being built on Yenisey for Vostok Oil project

The RN-Vankor company, which is part of the Rosneft oil and gas production unit, has built a new berth on the Yenisey River near the settlement of Vorontsovo on Taymyr as part of the implementation of the large-scale investment project Vostok Oil. The berth will soon begin receiving cargo arriving via the Northern Sea Route. A second berth is currently under construction.

A production base of a material and technical resource (MTR) with a temporary shift camp hosting 210 places, a fuel and lubricants storage, a helicopter pad, access roads and other infrastructure facilities will be organized at Vorontsovo. The cargo will be delivered as early as during the upcoming winter navigation via the Northern Sea Route for the construction of the Vankor – Payakha – Bukhta Sever oil trunk pipeline, as well as modular complexes, building blocks, reinforced concrete slabs, special equipment and equipment for oil pumping station No. 2, which will be built 15 km away from the settlement of Vorontsovo.

In total, 16 new berths will be used in Taymyr for the needs of Vostok Oil project. The logistics chain of cargo transportation along Yenisey already includes 8 operating berths – at Tanalau, Karaul, Tochino and in Bukhta Sever. 11 production bases with a total area of 100 hectares have been built near the berths for cargo reception. The construction of two more berths and the base of the MTR “Lopatka” on the Yenisey is planned in the near future.

Cargo delivery to Vostok Oil facilities is carried out both along Yenisey from Krasnoyarsk and via the Northern Sea Route from Arkhangelsk and Murmansk, as well as from West Siberian group of warehouses. The port of Dudinka and the Priluki production base in the Igarka area are additionally involved in cargo transshipment.

The construction of new logistics infrastructure facilities on Yenisey – berths and MTR bases – allowed timely delivery of the necessary goods to the priority construction sites of the Vostok Oil project and the beginning of development drilling at the Payakhskoye field as early as this summer.
