Rosneft has purchased more than 5,000 units of domestic motor vehicles for the Vostok Oil project

The RN-Vankor company (part of the Rosneft oil and gas production complex) has purchased more than five thousand units of specialized automotive equipment for the Vostok Oil project, implemented in the north of the Krasnoyarsk Region.

In total, 24 Russian manufacturers participated in the supply of motor vehicles, including the largest machine-building corporations engaged in the production of motor vehicles – KamAZ, Ural and others. Almost 90% of the purchased equipment is cargo transport: truck tractors with semi–trailers and tanks, dump trucks, cranes, as well as excavators, bulldozers, oilfield equipment and passenger transport.

The new equipment is already operating at the production bases and facilities under construction of the Vostok Oil project, and is also involved in ensuring the growing freight traffic on winter roads. This year, RN-Vankor has built more than 2 thousand km of winter roads – from the Korotchaevo production base in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug to the under construction oil loading terminal “Port “Bay North” on Taimyr.

The logistics operator of the Vostok Oil project, TBS–Logistics, is engaged in fleet maintenance, which has increased its staff by more than 5 times over the past year alone. In addition, service bases have been established in the north of the region in Dudinka, Severn Bay and the Vankorskoye field, and auxiliary repair bases have been organized at work sites.

RN-Vankor pays special attention to safety issues: all incoming equipment is already equipped with special road safety systems and is prepared to work in harsh northern conditions.

For reference:

LLC RN-Vankor, a subsidiary of Rosneft, is the operator of the largest oil and gas production project Vostok Oil, which includes the fields of the Vankor cluster (Vankor, Suzun, Tagul and Lodochnoye), as well as the Payakh cluster, located in the north of the Krasnoyarsk Territory. The resource base of the Vostok Oil project is 6.5 billion tons of premium oil.
