Mining Complex to be Built Based on the Ak-Sug Deposit

On October 12, 2020, the Mineral Resource Management (MRM) Department for the Central Siberian District issued Golevskaya GRK LLC a permit for the construction of a mining complex based on the Ak-Sug copper-porphyry deposit.

The successfully passed preparatory stages by MC Intergeo LLC and the positive conclusion received from the Rosnedra Central Committee for Solid Mineral Deposit Development (Rosnedra CCSMDD), the Federal Service for Supervision of Natural Resources, the FAU Glavgosexpertiza of Russia, allowed Golevskaya GRK LLC to obtain the appropriate permission on the construction of the mining complex. Intergeo mining company has now moved into the active implementation phase of the project. The complex will comprise a quarry, the stockpiles, a preparation plant site, a tailing dump, a reservoir, electricity and heat supply facilities and industrial infrastructure.

Ak-Sugskiy mining complex will become a backbone enterprise of the Tyva Republic and one of the largest projects as part of the Yenisey Siberia CIP implementation.

Key project parameters: ore mining and processing capacity – 24 million tons per year; average annual production of ≈500 thousand tons of copper-molybdenum concentrate.
