Mine infrastructure development continues at Veduga

The underground workings network is being expanded at the Veduginskoye deposit in the Severo-Yeniseisky Municipal District of Krasnoyarsk Krai. The investment project to develop the deposit, including the construction of a processing plant, is being implemented by the mining company Amikan (part of Polymetal). The initiative is part of the “Yenisei Siberia” integrated investment project.

To date, 1,000 linear meters have been excavated. The mine already employs over 100 specialists and 15 units of mining equipment. All equipment is equipped with low-temperature equipment, fire suppression systems, and Red Zone lighting. The mine adits also have a fully operational mine safety system.

“We are creating a new processing complex in Krasnoyarsk Krai that will allow us to extract gold from the refractory ore of a deposit discovered half a century ago,” said Evgeny Pushnoy, Director of Polymetal’s Krasnoyarsk branch. “The Veduga quarry has already reached its production targets. The mine is next. Commissioning work at the processing plant is nearing completion, and once operational, it will process 2.2 million tons of ore per year. The new facility was built practically from scratch, thanks in part to the support of our partners, the Yenisei Siberia Development Corporation.”

As a reminder, the Veduga plant is scheduled to launch in the second half of 2026.
