The issues of the Yenisey Siberia Comprehensive Investment Project in the territory of Tuva were discussed in Kyzyl. The meeting was attended by the members of Government of Tuva, the management of the Yenisey Siberia Development Corporation and industrial companies’ representatives. The meeting participants discussed the problems and tasks of the extraction projects carried out today in the Republic of Tuva under the CIP, as well as some organizational issues. The greatest attention was paid to the training of HR that will be sought for at the investment projects, attraction of local suppliers and contractors, unleashing the potential of the regional research and education sector as a whole.
The Adviser to Director General of Tardan Gold, LLC Oleg Lebedev spoke of the Tardan gold ore deposit development plans, geology survey works planned for the exploration of Kara-Beldirskoe gold deposit. In this regard, the interests of Tardan Gold overlay the plans of Lunsin Company for power capacity supply. In the future, for further production development, some additional power generation will be required for Mezhegeyugol Company as well. In this situation, the environment protection issues remain the major ones for implementation of any investment project. For example, according to Deputy Director General of Mezhegeyugol Kat Oorzhak, until the year 2021 the company is planning to assign around 450 million Roubles for the nature conservation block including the construction of filtering units.
Systemic proposals for further work were also discussed. It included, inter alia, the implementation of the unified regulatory legal documents and laws for the improvement of the investment climate in the region, thorough development of the issues stated at the meeting presided by the Minister of Economic Development of Russia Maxim Oreshkin held in Tuva on May 20.
As remarked by Director General of the Yenisey Siberia Development Corporation, JSC Sergei Ladyzhenko, the main principle of the corporation’s work is not just to help the investors to implement the initiatives and projects, but also to create some additional effects for the socioeconomic growth of the Yenisey Siberian regions. “It is great that Tuva today attracts attention of the highest federal decision-makers. It creates the right conditions to promote the solutions required for sustainable development of the Republic. A large preparation work is being done. And today, discussing the projects, we can see what kind of support they need. The companies are actually speaking of the improving power and transport infrastructure. These are the key points for us. But there is also a need for additional finance, and governmental support. Our main task is to do everything for the budget 2020 to assign some funds to support the projects. It would help the Yenisey Siberia to unleash the investment potential of the Republic to a great extent”, said Sergei Ladyzhenko.
