Russian Junior Figure Skating Championships 2021 continues in Krasnoyarsk in the Crystal Ice Arena. Highly qualified medical personnel provide care of the health of athletes and spectators.

Two medical aid stations operate in the Crystal Ice Arena. One is for the athletes, with a sports doctor and a nurse providing specialized medical assistance to skaters, as well as coaches and judges of the competition. A second medical aid station has been opened in the main hall, on the first floor of the Crystal Ice Arena where spectators can get qualified medical help.

Also, three ambulance teams are on duty: one resuscitation team and two general teams operate at the sports venue during the competition. In case of emergency patients will be taken to the Emergency care hospital, and people under18 – to the Regional Clinical Hospital. These are the basic hospitals during the Russian Junior Figure Skating Championships 2021

In addition, three mobile medical teams, consisting of a sports doctor and a nurse, are ready to provide the necessary assistance.

“The main part of the medical staff who now accompany the Russian Junior Figure Skating Championships 2021 in Krasnoyarsk is a well-coordinated team that was formed during the test events of the Winter Universiade 2019 in figure skating, – said Sergey Burnatov, the head doctor of the competition. – During the Games, these employees worked at the figure skating venue, and in December 2019 – at the Russian Figure Skating Championships 2019. We are ready to provide medical assistance if any of the participants or guests of the competition needs it.”

Medical services begin their work 2 hours before the start of the official events and are on duty at the ice rink for an hour after the end of the competition.
