Krasnoyarsk Region intends to develop cooperation with the Chinese province of Gansu

In Lanzhou, Gansu Province (Northwest China), a presentation was held on the possibilities of trade and economic cooperation between Gansu Province and the regions of Russia, aimed at creating a platform for exchanges between export-oriented enterprises of this province and Russia, as well as promoting their practical cooperation in various fields.

According to Chen Fengyan, director of the Center for Economic Cooperation of Gansu Province, by the end of 2023, the trade turnover in value terms between the province and the Russian Federation amounted to 3.085 billion yuan, an increase of 18.2 percent year-on-year. At the same time, nickel ore and its concentrates, fuel oil, linseed, graphite electrodes, drilling rigs for oil and gas production, etc. became the main goods in the framework of bilateral trade.

Deputy Chairman of the People’s Government of Gansu Province Lei Wei noted that Russia is currently one of the three largest trading partners of the province, and cooperation between the two sides has great potential, high sustainability and broad prospects. According to him, this year Gansu Province will continue to deepen practical cooperation with Russia in various fields such as economy and trade, investment, engineering and logistics.

The investment and economic potential of the Krasnoyarsk Territory was presented at the event. The participants of the event were presented with key investment niches in the agro-industrial and timber industry, as well as in industry, mining and tourism. Potential investors from Gansu Province expressed their willingness to cooperate
