Krasnoyarsk is ready to host the 2022 FIVB Volleyball Men’s World Championship

Representatives of the Volleyball 2022 Organizing Committee visited Krasnoyarsk. The delegation assesed the readiness of the city to deliver the world-class competitions.

The experts visited the Krasnoyarsk airport, the planned officila sports venue Ivan Yarygin sports Palace and Sports Hall named after Mikhail Dvorkin, which is supposed to be training venue. The commission highly appreciated the readiness of the venues for the championship.

2022 FIVB Volleyball Men’s World Championship will be held in Russia from August 26 to September 11. Matches will take place in 10 Russian cities, including Krasnoyarsk. 24 national teams will participate in the championships. The format of the tournament provides for two group stages and the Final Six in Moscow. The full list of participants and the tournament calendar will be announced later.

The Yenisey Siberia Development Corporation was appointed as the operator for the preparation and delivery of the Championships in Krasnoyarsk.
