The Boguchany Forest Industry Complex construction project is the major investment project in the forestry industry in the Russian Federation territory. The Boguchany Forest Industry Complex is a unique vertically integrated facility, covering the entire timber processing cycle from raw material treatment to high added-value product release. During the Forest Industry Complex construction in July 2016, a high-capacity sawmill was commissioned. In the 3rd quarter 2019, a pellet plant with the capacity of 105 thousand tons of product per year is planned to be launched. The current development vector also includes the establishment of cellulose production facility and high added-value product release.
The project covers the construction of a large industrial enterprise with a well-developed supply structure, creating around 2,500 new regular jobs. Moreover, the further development of the Boguchansky District infrastructure by means of construction of the railway infrastructure (Karabula-Yarki railway) is planned.
