Those attending the meeting discussed the issues concerning the development of Yenisey Siberia:Industry 4.0 (SEC) that was established by the order of the Governor of the Krasnoyarsk Territory in November last year. The Centre’s partners are representatives of educational organizations, and the regional scientific and business community. The Centre is aimed at accelerated implementation of the Yenisey Siberia Comprehensive Investment Project.
Director General of Yenisey Siberia Development Corporation Sergei Ladyzhenko presented his report on creation of Yenisey Siberia R&D PARK in Krasnoyarsk. R&D PARK is a large-scale infrastructure complex aimed at creation of innovative products in demand. Sergei Ladyzhenko noticed that, being a set of new tools for creation of innovative products in demand, R&D PARK should become a link in the innovation system. “Implementation of large-scale investment projects needs advanced technology development. Having said so, the speed of new developments is crucial. The creation of R&D Park will allow developing a mechanism for cooperation between universities and research institutes with Yenisey Siberia CIP investment companies; provide financial support for high-tech projects of early stages; create a number of startups around the core of investment projects in the territory of Yenisey Siberia; and form working chains of high-tech supplies to large regional enterprises,” Sergei Ladyzhenko said.
In conclusion, the Council discussed the creation of a new structural division of Siberian Federal University – the Institute of the North and Arctic, which will comprehensively solve the problems of developing the Arctic zone, train and retrain specialists, and conduct research and development in the interests of the North. The regional Government expects that the Institute will start working this year.
