The resident of the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation (AZRF) in the territory of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, the Metal-Grad company, is preparing to launch a plant for the production of asphalt concrete mix. The company received resident status in July 2022 with the assistance of the Yenisei Siberia Development Corporation and the Norilsk Development Agency.
Due to the status of a resident of the Russian Arctic, the Metal-Grad company received a land plot without bidding and leased it. In 2023, an asphalt concrete plant was placed on the site, and preparations are underway to connect the substation for launch and its further operation. It is planned that the asphalt concrete plant will begin operation in the second quarter of 2024.
“The comprehensive development plan for Norilsk until 2035 provides for the creation of modern infrastructure in the city, including road transport, which needs material for the construction and maintenance of the roadway,” said Sergey Nikolaichuk, head of production at Metallograd LLC. – Now there are not enough enterprises in the city that produce high-quality materials for these types of work, which is why we decided to build an asphalt concrete plant.”
The establishment of the plant will help reduce the cost of providing services and eliminate the cost of delivering materials for the construction of highways. The total investment in the project will amount to 79.1 million rubles, and 17 jobs will be created as part of the project.
Recall that the Russian Arctic is the largest economic zone with a single set of tax and administrative preferences for conducting investment activities. Currently, 31 residents are implementing their projects in the Arctic zone of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, and the total investment amount is 37.6 billion rubles. The functions of the management company for working with residents of the Arctic zone in the Krasnoyarsk Territory are performed by the Yenisei Siberia Development Corporation.
