Today at the 16th Krasnoyarsk Economic Forum the development institutions’ presentation session was held, where the major tools for support of the investment and innovative activities of the small, medium-sized and large businesses were introduced. Among the speakers, there were representatives of the development institutions involved in three focus areas: business development, investment attraction, innovative and technological development.
The Yenisey Siberia Comprehensive Investment Project in the territory of Krasnoyarsk Region, the Republics of Khakassia and Tuva will encompass the large-scale projects that require of new support mechanisms, organization of communication between businesses and the state, and involvement of small and medium-sized businesses. The development institution serves as an efficient tool for these purposes.
By the present moment, an institutional support system for the problems that cannot be settled with the market mechanisms has been established in Russia. The development institutions act as investment catalysts, making up the infrastructure that ensures the access to financial and informational resources for businesses. The session speakers spoke of the basic support and assistance tools provided by the governmental institutions to the business.
In the Business Development section, presentations were made by the representatives of the Russian Export Centre, JSC, and the Business Development Agency and Microcredit Company, JSC. In the Investment Attraction section, the presentations were made by the PPP National Centre and Russian Direct Investment Fund. Finally, in the Innovative and Technological Development, the reports were presented by the Agency of Technological Development and Engineering Innovative Centre.
The session participants remarked that the existing support infrastructure is capable of setting the communication between the state, large businesses, small and medium-size companies for the implementation of large-scale investment projects.
