Expert Board of Yenisey Siberia Development Corporation Formed

The Expert Board of the Yenisey Siberia Development Corporation has been formed to include 24 federal and regional experts, including representatives of state and private institutes for development, universities, research and consulting companies, funds, associations and large commercial enterprises. The Expert Board is expected to be expanded over time to draw experts from high-priority industries and within the scope of main activities.

Its purpose is to provide expert support to the Corporation in terms of strategic, design, expert, and information-related work that is aimed at facilitating the priority social, economic and territorial development of the Angara-Yenisey Macroregion, and implementing the Yenisey Siberia Comprehensive Investment Project.

“Over 30 large-scale investment projects are currently being carried out or planned for realization in the macroregion. The function of the Expert Board has to focus on finding the best practices that are already in place both in the Russian Federation and abroad, and make sure that investors are offered the most favourable conditions,” pointed out Andrey Shpilenko, a member of the Expert Board of the Yenisey Siberia Development Corporation, and director of the Association of Clusters and Technology Parks of Russia.

“The Expert Board is to carry out researches as to how to optimize the realization of the Yenisey Siberia Comprehensive Investment Project and give an expert evaluation to the related projects. The Board is going to be involved in the preparation of strategic documents to stipulate the development of the Angara-Yenisey Macroregion, round-table talks, negotiations, conferences, meetings, and other events within the Corporation’s competence. The Expert Board is also expected to provide its expert-analytical support in the course of preparation for sessions of the Krasnoyarsk Economic Forum and a number of other events. I’m sure that the involvement of the Expert Board will help the Corporation make right decisions that will bring the project to life and help it navigate through complex issues that require specialized consulting support,” added Sergey Ladyzhenko, Director General of the Yenisey Siberia Development Corporation.

The Export Board features Vladimir Ivanov, Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Science (RAS), member of RAS Presidium; Alexander Ivlev, managing partner of Ernst&Young consulting and advisory services; Rashid Ismailov, chairperson of the Russian Ecology Society; Andrei Klepach, chief economist of the VEB.RF State Development Corporation; Vladimir Nazarov, Director of Science&Research Financial Institute of the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation; and Vladislav Onischenko, First Deputy Director of the Analytical Centre in the Government of the Russian Federation.
