FIS Freestyle and Snowboard Junior World Championships 2021

FIS World Junior Champs 2021 were held on the slopes of the Sopka Cluster in Krasnoyarsk from 18 to 27 March. It is the first time when the junior world championships were held in all freestyle and snowboard events at one venue. 

Athletes from 28 countries competed for 30 sets of medals in freestyle skiing and snowboarding competitions.

Russian athletes took the first place in the team event. The Russians won 9 gold, 2 silver and 10 bronze medals in freestyle. The second were the athletes from Austria (2-2-0), and the third place was taken by the participants from Japan and the Czech Republic (2-1-0). In snowboard, Russians also won 6 gold, 2 silver and 5 bronze medals. The second place was taken by the Japanese national team (5-5-0), the third were the teams from Belgium and the Czech Republic (1-0-1 each).

The FIS Junior World Champs 2021 involved 389 volunteers.  Over the 10 days of the Champs, Sopka Cluster hosted over 14 thousand spectators.
