Krasnoyarsk was approved as the host city of the FIS Freestyle and Snowboard Junior World Championships 2021 on May 25, 2020, during the online meeting of the International Ski Federation (FIS) Council. Competitions will be held on the slopes of Sopka Cluster from March 15 to March 28.
It is expected that 2 or 3 thousand representatives of sports delegations will come to the competitions, including coaches, athletes and different technical staff. The athletes will compete for up to 30 sets of medals in all disciplines of freestyle and snowboard.
FIS Freestyle and Snowboard Junior World Championships 2021 will be held simultaneously at the same venue for the first time in history. Competitions in freestyle and snowboard were held in Sopka Cluster during the 29 Winter Universiade 2019 in Krasnoyarsk. Also, FIS World Cup Stages 2020 in moguls and aerials were as well successfully delivered at the same venue.
