On October 17-19, at Siberia International Exhibition and Business Centre Krasnoyarsk Digital Forum is held. This is a platform where business and innovations come together, new achievements of IT and telecommunications are demonstrated, the current problems of digital technology implementation are discussed. The Forum is attended by Russian technological companies: MTS, Solution Factory, TechVision, VisionLabs, as well as representatives of the governmental authorities and businesses from different regions.
The Forum opened with a plenary session attended by representatives of the Ministry for Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media of Krasnoyarsk Region, Russian industrial and IT companies, the Yenisey Siberia Development Corporation. The participants discussed the main trends in the digitalization of the region, implementation of the Digital Economy of the Russian Federation programme. Director General of the Yenisey Siberia Development Corporation Sergei Ladyzhenko remarked that the Yenisey Siberia regions can offer a significant potential for the development of digital technologies.
“As the large investment projects reach the active phase of implementation, they prepare to begin their construction works and arrangement of their production sites. In this situation, the demand for the digital technologies, services, digital equipment supplies in the nearest future will rapidly grow. New production facilities are designed with due regard to the modern technological requirements of industry 4.0, expected to use a great number of the latest IT achievements. It opens new opportunities for such service suppliers from Krasnoyarsk Region, Khakassia and Tuva”, remarked Sergei Ladyzhenko.
The Forum presented the Krasnoyarsk Digital Valley project intended to create the infrastructure for the best IT companies, to provide resources to the efficient IT corporations, and to digitalize the Yenisey Siberia economy. In the process of implementation of the project, a unique infrastructure is planned to be built in the territory of Krasnoyarsk, including Depo digital business centre, Renovation technopark, VR Arena, Liner digital business centre and a number of other facilities. The acting Russian IT companies involved in various research and projects are expected to become the residents of the Valley. On the Digital Valley exhibition stand, the residents demonstrated their software products: FaceRecognition technology, which allows to recognize and control the employees of restricted access production facilities, interactive and VR learning programs, professional knowledge testing systems.
Moreover, at the Forum, the agreement on admission of Siberian Federal University into SAP University Alliance was signed. SibFU lecturers and students will get an access to SAP solutions and learning materials to use in their educational and research activities. At the University, an innovative SAP Next-Gen Lab will be opened for the students to develop and test their solutions based on the machine learning technologies, big data and Internet of things. Young specialists are expected to work on the industrial safety, occupational health and environment scenarios, create digital equipment twins and real-time virtual industrial process control models. Besides industrial projects, students will work on their own scenarios for the “smart city” to facilitate the development of Krasnoyarsk Region, Khakassia and Tuva.
