In Krasnoyarsk, a concession agreement on the construction of a waste sorting complex was signed between the Ministry of Ecology and Rational Nature Management of Krasnoyarsk Region and the Engineering company (part of the RWM Capital Investment Group). Experts from the Ministry of Economy and Regional Development of Krasnoyarsk Region and the Yenisey Siberia Development Corporation assessed the concession agreement as well as elaborated a number of its conditions.
A modern waste sorting complex will be built in the left-bank technological zone of Krasnoyarsk. The target planned capacity of the complex is 300 thousand tons per year: this will ensure the sorting of all municipal solid waste collected on the territory of the left-bank technological zone. The term of the concession agreement is 20 years, including the stages of design and construction. The total investment is 1.5 billion rubles.
In the future, RWM Capital plans to organize an ecotechnopark next to the waste sorting complex at its own investment expense, on the basis of which selected secondary materials will be processed.
It is assumed that the construction of facilities under the concession agreement will attract extra-budgetary investments in the economy of Krasnoyarsk Region on the terms of public-private partnership and create conditions for the development of secondary materials processing facilities, including the involvement of small businesses.
