Attracting Investments in Scientific Developments Discussed at KSU

Khakassian State University named after N.F. Katanov hosted a meeting with participation of scientists focused on attracting investments in scientific developments and creating conditions for their deployment into production.

At the meeting, scientists of the university presented to investors their developments for use in the pharmaceuticals industry, veterinary medicine, medicine, construction industry, agriculture and ecology, including technology of dust suppression in coal production using special reagents, innovative drug raw materials for creating medicines with immunocorrecting and antibacterial effects, feed additives for cattle, technologies for 3D printing in construction, etc.

Andrey Popov, Vice-rector for Science and Innovation of KSU named after N.F. Katanov noted that the university is pursuing a targeted policy on the developments in the most significant and breakthrough areas, including new technologies in the field of medicine, ecology, agriculture, construction, information technology, chemistry. “Now the university has 137 scientific developments in the form of intangible assets with a total value of more than 3 million rubles. According to the acts of implementation or commercial licensing agreements, over 90% of developments have already found practical application. There are specific proposals both for the Yenisey Siberia CIP and for interested investors,” said Andrey Popov.

The head of the Yenisey Siberia Development Corporation office in the Republic of Khakassia Mikhail Krutskikh, in turn, noted that the scientific potential of Khakassia is clearly underestimated, and many of the developments and proposals for cooperation presented by the university coincide with production requests for implementation in new investment projects, in particular, in the field of medicine and agriculture.
