An investment conference was held in Lesosibirsk, organized by the Yenisei Siberia Development Corporation with the support of the City Administration. The event was attended by more than 70 representatives of small and medium-sized businesses, industrial enterprises, development institutions and potential investors.
Opening the meeting, Pavel Bezmaternykh, Acting Mayor of the city, stressed that in the context of modern global challenges, the economy faces both difficulties and new opportunities for growth.
“Changes in supply chains, the reorientation of markets and the development of new technologies create favorable conditions for the implementation of ambitious projects. Our city, with its well—developed logistics and advantageous geographical location, can become one of the drivers of economic development,” Pavel Bezmaternykh emphasized.
The conference program included presentations of current business support measures and ways to obtain them. In addition, the experts analyzed the problems of entrepreneurs – from difficulties with financing to administrative barriers – and considered practical mechanisms for their solution. Anton Zherebtsov, Chairman of the Krasnoyarsk Regional branch of the all-Russian public organization “Business Russia”, noted the special role of business communities in the development of the investment climate in the region.
“With our active participation, the Krasnoyarsk Territory has successfully confirmed compliance with the Regional Investment Standard, and its practices are among the best in the country. Today we are focusing on two key areas: firstly, we ensure an effective dialogue between business and government, and secondly, we select and adapt best investment practices for the region’s needs,” said Anton Zherebtsov.
Investment proposals were presented at the conference, taking into account the resource potential of Lesosibirsk and its market demand. Among them is the creation of a wooden house-building enterprise, from logging to the production of ready-made house kits, which can occupy a niche of import substitution in the market of Siberia and the Far East. Initiatives for the construction of a restaurant and hotel complex, the creation of furniture production and the cultivation of rainbow trout were also presented. These and other proposals for the development of anchor cities are available on the Investment Portal of the Krasnoyarsk Territory.
An industrial tour was organized at the end of the conference. It included a visit to the Interior furniture factory, which manufactures up to 200 units per month and plans to expand production. In addition, the conference participants visited the Lesosibirsk Port, a key transport hub of the Yenisei, which celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2025.
