Scientists of the Scientific Research Center “Yeniseiskaya Siberia” won a grant for the creation of the Center for Engineering Development (CIR) “Center for experimental development of components and their production”. The center will be established on the basis of the scientific and innovative center “Electrotechnologies in Metallurgy” of the Polytechnic Institute of SibFU in cooperation with the Institute of Non-Ferrous Metals of SIBFU and the pilot plant of the FITC KNC SB RAS.
The competition was held in accordance with the decree of the Government of the Russian Federation dated February 18, 2022 No. 209 on the creation and development of engineering development centers based on educational institutions of higher education and scientific organizations implementing projects related to the development of components.
The Center will operate within the framework of one of the priority areas of activity of the REC “Yenisei Siberia” – new industrial technologies. The list of the Center’s directions includes the reengineering of components and the development of pre-series production within the framework of import substitution programs for large companies, cooperation with regional manufacturing enterprises, small-scale and serial production for the agricultural machinery industry.
Another important task of the Center is the training of highly qualified engineers, technologists, machine operators in the interests of industrial enterprises, as well as the involvement of students of technical and applied economic specialties in the format of group project training.
“It is planned that the CIR at SFU will take the best experience of the Soviet system in the development, manufacture and supply by universities to the production of components created on their own in industry workshops. Such workshops or factories should have a flexible technological base and their own design bureaus,” commented Evgeny Golovchenko, Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Electrical Engineering at the Polytechnic Institute of SibFU.

The world-class scientific and educational Center (REC) “Yenisei Siberia” was established in 2019. It is an interregional association initiated by the Krasnoyarsk Territory, the Republics of Khakassia and Tyva.
