The Siberian Profile company, a resident of the special economic zone of industrial production type (SEZ PPT) Krasnoyarsk Technological Valley, is building a unique pressing line for the production of aluminum profiles. The press under construction has no analogues in Russia in terms of power, its force will be 82 megawatons, this will allow producing the largest profiles in the country – up to 25 m long, the dimensions of the pressed products will be up to 450 mm in diameter of the circumscribed circle or 600×240 mm for rectangular products.
Investments in the project will amount to about 3.5 billion rubles. Equipment suppliers have already been identified, a contract has been signed for the supply of the main production line, and construction and installation work is underway.
The main field of application of aluminum profiles is the construction of buildings, bridge construction, and load–bearing structures.
Eduard Bukhgalts, General Director of Siberian Profile LLC: “Customers’ engineering centers are always limited by the dimensions that the pressing equipment is capable of producing. By increasing the dimensions of the pressed products, we give customers the opportunity to implement new, previously impossible ideas. A simple example is to increase the length of the span structures.”
Recall that the status of a resident of the Krasnoyarsk Technological Valley SEZ was assigned to Siberian Profile LLC in August 2022. The company plans to implement a project to create a new production of a wide aluminum profile used in wagon and bridge construction. It is expected that the implementation of the SEZ resident project will completely replace the import of large-sized aluminum profiles.
Oleg Butz, CEO of KraMZa: “The SEZ was created in order to localize projects for deep processing of aluminum and it is located literally next door to the Krasnoyarsk Metallurgical Plant (KraMZ). Siberian Profile will become a major consumer of cast cylindrical ingots produced by KRAMZ, both enterprises will receive a significant synergistic effect due to their territorial proximity, because annual supply volumes will amount to thousands of tons.”
For reference:
The Krasnoyarsk Technological Valley SEZ was established in Krasnoyarsk in 2020. It is planned to create new production facilities on the territory of the special economic zone, including in the field of rental, production of equipment and aluminum products for aviation and mechanical engineering. Five companies have already received the status of residents of the Krasnoyarsk Technological Valley SEZ, which are ready to invest more than 9.7 billion rubles in the development of production facilities. The project for the creation of the Krasnoyarsk Technological Valley SEZ is included in the Yeniseiskaya Sibir KIP.
