The Yenisey Siberia Development Corporation and MegaWatt LLC have signed an agreement to support an investment project to create a plant for electric generating units with diesel and gas internal combustion engines. The project is planned to be implemented in the Sovetsky district of Krasnoyarsk, near the Krasnoyarsk Aluminum Plant.
The estimated volume of investments in the project is up to 1 billion rubles. MegaWatt plans to launch the plant by 2026; preparatory activities and documentation are currently underway. After the company reaches full production capacity, it is planned to produce about 60 units per month; the capacity of electric generating units will range from 16 kW to 1,500 kW. About 200 additional jobs will be created as part of the project.
Executive Director of MegaWatt LLC Arislan Ganiev: “Currently, there are no factories and workshops in the Krasnoyarsk Territory and nearby regions for the production of generator sets adapted to work in Siberia and the Far North. The location of the production in the administrative center of the Krasnoyarsk Territory will allow us to provide products of our own production not only to the Krasnoyarsk Territory, but also to the Siberian and Far Eastern Federal districts, which will also improve the quality of service.”
