13.5 billion rubles will be invested in the creation of a heavy engineering center in the Yemelyanovsky district

The Yenisey Siberia Development Corporation and OKB Micron signed an agreement to support an investment project to create a heavy engineering center in the Krasnoyarsk Region. The complex is being created on the basis of the operating machine-building enterprise OKB Micron in the Yemelyanovsky district.

Currently, the plant is engaged in the production of rail and mine transport, non-standard products, non-ferrous metal products, special gearboxes, production automation equipment, special-purpose metal structures and other products. The aim of the project is to complete the construction of the only modern ultra-compact heavy machinery, machine tool and metalworking enterprise outside the Urals, which began in 2014

The project assumes an increase in the company’s revenue by 4 times – up to 3.6 billion rubles by 2040 due to the expansion of the range and number of manufactured products.

The total investment in the creation of a heavy machinery complex will amount to 13.5 billion rubles, of which 4.3 billion rubles have already been invested in the project. Currently, 4 out of 7 production workshops have been built and put into operation, with a total area of more than 6,000 m2, as well as storage facilities; a unique machine park has been formed; over 500 jobs have been created. The project is planned to be fully implemented by 2031.

Dmitry Salov, General Director of OKB MICRON: “Today, all the efforts of the enterprise are aimed at the production of serial products and the launch of its own developments on the market. The construction of the plant continues, new machines and machining centers are being put into operation, the number of engineering tasks that we will spend the coming years solving has increased many times. However, we are lucky that in such a difficult time we have more work than before, and the current situation for our company is more of a plus than a minus, and the increase in production space will allow us to increase the volume of production.”
