In 2026, the largest construction project, Yenisei Siberia, is planned to be launched in the north of the region

Mikhail Kotyukov, Governor of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, visited the construction site of the mining and processing complex (GOK), which will operate on the basis of the Chernogorskoye field in the Norilsk Industrial Region. The project is being implemented by Chernogorskaya GRK LLC, which is the largest initiative of KIP Yeniseiskaya Sibir.

The Chernogorsky GOK is planned to be commissioned in the second quarter of 2026. This will mark the beginning of the creation of the second largest producer of palladium and platinum in Russia.

Ahmed Bazhaev, General Director of Chernogorskaya GRK LLC: “The project is being implemented in the Arctic zone, in difficult climatic conditions. It had to be completely redesigned due to sanctions restrictions and the inability to supply technological equipment, to find comparable domestic solutions and new equipment suppliers. We are already recruiting operational staff, and after commissioning the factory, the number of jobs on the project will increase to 1,600.”

Upon reaching its design capacity, the Chernogorsky GOK will process about 7 million tons of ore per year with the prospect of expansion to 9 million tons. After the completion of the second stage, the development will increase to 14 million tons. Construction and installation work is currently underway at the field, specialists are installing equipment at the enrichment plant, creating infrastructure, and completing the construction of a thermal power plant.

Mikhail Kotyukov, Governor of the Krasnoyarsk Territory: “The facility will become one of the largest industrial enterprises in the region. I would like to remind you that the implementation of the new national project “Bioeconomics” will soon begin in Russia. It will give an additional impetus to the development of our enterprises. The achievements of our research teams need to be used. In addition, get involved in the work of our universities, create specialized classes in schools and universities. Cultivate the personnel for your productions.”

The head of the region noted that modern industries today urgently need cooperation with the scientific community.
