Performances in mixed team aerials events finished at the FIS Junior World Champs 2021 in Krasnoyarsk, which takes place in Krasnoyarsk from March 18 to March 27. Two Russian teams became prize winners at once.
The first place was taken by Anastasia Prytkova, Artem Potapov and Arseny Vagin. In total, the winners scored 257.03 points.
Anastasia Prytkova and Artem Potapov, who yesterday became winners in the individual aerials competitions, said that they had made every effort to win 2 gold medals in Krasnoyarsk. “Krasnoyarsk welcomed us very well. It is an excellent course here, we have only positive emotions, – said Anastasia. – In five days I will be back again to represent my region at the Russian Championship. I will continue to improve and complicate my program. My goal is to get to the Olympic Games.”
The team from the Republic of Belarus, consisting of Anna Derugo, Igor Drobenkov and Makar Mitrofanov, took the second place with a score of 245.56 points.
After the awarding ceremony, Makar Mitrofanov shared his impressions of participating in the competition: “It’s great that there were a lot of fans – it gave positive emotions and support. Athletes both today and yesterday showed the highest level of competitions among young people and are even ready to compete in the adult category on any course. I liked everything very much, the organization is very professional!”
Another team from Russia is on the third place: Yesenia Pantyukhova, Denis Slyadnev and Ildar Khakimov. Representatives of Switzerland Alexandra Baer and Ursina Platz, who became prize-winners in individual aerials competitions, as well as Fabian Bader, became the fourth.
The program of the competition day will begin with freestyle qualification in slope-style tomorrow, on March, 20. Then the snowboarders will go to the start: representatives of the national big air teams will participate in qualification.
