The FIS World Junior Champs 2021 will be held on the slopes of the Sopka Cluster from 18 to 27 March in Krasnoyarsk. Sports delegations from more than 30 countries, including Australia, Austria, Brazil, Great Britain, Germany, Spain, Canada, Lithuania, New Zealand, Slovakia, Finland, Croatia, Czech Republic, Switzerland, Estonia, Japan and others, submitted preliminary applications for participation in the competition.
For the first time the FIS World Junior Champs 2021 will be held in Russia. The athletes will compete for 30 sets of medals in freestyle (mogul, dual mogul, slope style, big air, ski cross, team ski cross, aerials, team aerials, halfpipe) and snowboard (parallel slalom, parallel giant slalom, team parallel slalom, slope style, big air, halfpipe, snowboard cross, team snowboard cross).
The operator of the international championships is the Yenisey Siberia Development Corporation.
Tickets can be purchased on krs.kassir.ru website on the event page. Sale at the box office due to the epidemiological situation is not provided. The cost of tickets depends on the category of chosen seats: tickets to the stands will cost from 250 to 500 rubles, to fan zones – from 150 to 200 rubles. Admission is free upon presentation of a birth certificate for children up to 5 years old.
Please note, that the FIS World Junior Champs 2021 will be held in compliance with all necessary measures due to coronavirus infection. Spectators will have their temperature taken at the entrance to the venue; all the spectators must wear masks and maintain social distance. In order to avoid queues, spectators should arrive in advance: checkpoints will start working one hour before the start of the events; the organizers will prepare entertainment locations on the territory of the Sopka Cluster.
