The first stage of training for volunteers of the Russian Junior Figure Skating Championships 2021 was held in Krasnoyarsk.
During the briefing at the Crystal Ice Arena, volunteers got acquainted with the venue and places where their are going to work during the competitions: stands and halls for spectators, including for people with limited mobility, a medical office and others.
Further training included case study: the volunteers were asked to develop a behavior strategy in certain situations that may arise at the venue. In addition, functional trainings in some areas were held as part of the first stage of training, Thus, the organizers held the team building game for the volunteers working with spectators.
“I already worked at the Crystal Ice Arena at the World Junior Curling Championships 2020. It was my first job as an event volunteer at the major event” says Anna Medvedeva from the Republic of Khakassia. – When I found out that there is an opportunity to take part in the Russian Junior Figure Skating Championships 2021, I immediately applied. This wonderful event has already completely overwhelmed me, I am sure that it will be a great sports event, and it is a great honor for me to be a part of it. “
A general training course for volunteers is ahead where they will get the detailed information on the event and the participants, receive all the necessary information to work in their areas, and also get acquainted with the volunteer code.
Let us remind you that Krasnoyarsk will host the first Russian Junior Figure Skating Championships from February 3 to February 5, 2021. The organizer of the tournament is the Yenisey Siberia Development Corporation. A number of 350 volunteers in total will be involved in the preparation and delivery of the Championships. They will provide help and service in a variety of areas: meet competitors at the airport, take part in the opening and closing ceremonies, help judges, spectators and much more.
