Russian Prime Minister, Mikhail Mishustin, signed a decree supporting the creation of the special economic zone (SEZ) of the industrial and production type “Krasnoyarsk High-Tech Valley”. The project is aimed at creating industrial facilities for deep processing of aluminum, machine-building enterprises and manufacture of products with high added value, and technological products.
The first stage of the special economic zone creation includes the implementation of eight investment projects for the period 2021-2030. Under the baseline scenario, the volume of tax revenues to the budgets of all levels will amount up to about 5.8 billion rubles.
To date, six agreements have been signed with potential residents of the Krasnoyarsk High-Tech Valley. The mentioned residents are the manufacturers of industrial equipment, aluminum products for aircraft and mechanical engineering. It is planned that by 2030 on the basis of the SEZ there will be about 1.3 thousand jobs, and the volume of investments will exceed 16 billion rubles.
“In addition to new high-tech industrial enterprises, jobs and an increase in tax revenues to the regional budget, the created special economic zone will develop cooperation with the existing production enterprises in the Krasnoyarsk Region, design institutes and scientific and educational institutions of the region,” added the Director General of the Yenisey Siberia Development Corporation, Sergey Ladyzhenko.
The special economic zone is one of the tools for local economic development. Businesses involved in the project have a number of advantages: minimization of administrative barriers, tax incentives and customs preferences, and a decrease in rental payments. In addition, SEZ residents can count on consulting support from management companies while implementing investment projects.
It should be reminded that the creation and development of the special economic zone of industrial and production type “Krasnoyarsk High-Tech Valley” is included in the CIP “Yenisey Siberia”.
