Yenisey Siberia Development Corporation and New Development Bank discussed cooperation

A videoconference meeting was held on the topic of cooperation between the New Development Bank and the Yenisey Siberia Development Corporation.

The New Development Bank (NDB) is an international financial institution, a development bank established by the BRICS countries (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa). The objective of the bank is to finance infrastructure and sustainable development projects in the BRICS and developing countries.

The Yenisey Siberia Comprehensive Investment Project was presented to the representatives of the New Development Bank. Sergey Ladyzhenko, Director General of the Yenisey Siberia Development Corporation, spoke about the spheres of work of the Corporation and expressed interest in cooperation with the Bank in terms of attracting financial resources to implement projects in the Krasnoyarsk Region, the Tyva Republic and the Republic of Khakassia. “We know that a number of projects are still open for the investments, and some of the companies participating in the Yenisey Siberia CIP are considering the possibility of co-investment,” – added Sergey Ladyzhenko.

Vice President of the New Development Bank Vladimir Kazbekov noted that the Bank already has the experience of cooperation with some investment companies of the Yenisey Siberia CIP. Vladimir Kazbekov stressed that the projects on environmental, transport and social infrastructure have the potential to get financial support from the Bank.

The participants of the meeting also discussed the possibilities of cooperation in the field of project financing based on public-private partnerships.
