107 contracts worth 625 mln. roubles signed by suppliers and contractors from Yenisey Siberia register

Involvement of small and medium businesses as suppliers and contractors in investment projects is one of the key directions for Yenisey Siberia Development Corporation.  To this end, the SME Platform was launched to provide services that help businesses registered in the Krasnoyarsk Territory, the Republic of Khakassia and the Republic of Tyva to get orders from big companies.

The register was formed to serve as a recommendation for investors in determining a pool of their potential suppliers and contractors. As of today, it lists more than 290 companies in various areas of competence. In 2019, businesses from the register signed 61 contracts worth 215 mln. roubles, while the first half of 2020 yielded 46 contracts worth 410 mln., roubles, which is twice as much as over the same period last year. The clients in these contracts are large business participating in Yenisey Siberia Comprehensive Investment Project: Polyus, Rusal, Nornickel, Kraslesinvest and others. The contracts covered material supplies, project paperwork and services.

A multi-directional online platform — the procurement aggregator — was launched to help gather requests and tenders from different sites in one place and to let local businesses to quickly obtain the information on the relevant procurement procedures initiated by the Yenisey Siberia Comprehensive Investment Project participant companies and, if necessary, to get advice on trade procedures. More than 1500 procurement deals were concluded via the aggregator by now, and the information gets updated twice a week.

SME Platform hosts procurement presentation sessions for business representatives and CIP investors. For example, Polyus Krasnoyarsk held a procurement presentation session for the participants of the reliable suppliers register, and an open seminar on procurements by Rosneft affiliates within the region was held for goods and services providers of the region.

Sergey Ladyzhenko, Director General of Yenisey Siberia Development Corporation, believes that the more orders local suppliers and contractors get, the better their productivity, and on top of that, taxes are paid to the budget.  “Local small and medium business participation in large companies’ procurements gives a multiplication effect: it yields more tax return, creates new jobs etc. This is the most important outcome of the Yenisey Siberia Comprehensive Investment Project,”  Sergei Ladyzhenko said.
