Yenisey Siberia builds business relationship with Yantai urban district of China

Today a video conference on the prospects of the economic and trade cooperation between the Yenisey Siberia regions and Yantai urban district of Shandong province, China, took place. The meeting was attended by the representatives of the Yenisey Siberia Development Corporation, the Yantai People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, Silk Road Hi-Tech Parks Association, the Asian-African division of the Yantai People’s Friendship Association and Yantai Chinese-Russian Technopark. The meeting initiator and moderator was Anton Zherebtsov, cofounder of the Siberia Investment and Trade Company.

Yantai is one of China’s outposts for the cooperation with Russia and other CIS countries and is a strategic city in the frame of The Belt and Road Initiative implementation. This is the area for mastering new technologies – the pilot base for cooperation between Russia and China in the sphere of hi-tech industrialisation. Machinery manufacturing, iron-ore, chemical, silk, wine-making and food-processing industries are among the area’s well-developed domains.

Director General of Yenisey Siberia Development Corporation Sergei Ladyzhenko reported to the meeting participants on the economic and investment potential of the Yenisey Siberia regions and projects under implementation there. An emphasis was put on the establishment of special tax treatment in the areas interested in the attraction of residents. Such areas are the Krasnoyarsk High-Tech Valley Special Economic Zone and the Logistics and Industrial Hub Based at Krasnoyarsk and Cheremshanka Airports, and Siberia Agroindustrial Park Territory of Advanced Social and Economic Development.

“Yenisey Siberia Comprehensive Investment Project is being vigorously implemented and will become the groundwork for the further development of our territories. But we are also interested in the attraction of new investors, from China inter alia. Yenisey Siberia Development Corporation is ready to provide all the necessary support for the resolution of the organisational and administrative issues,” Sergei Ladyzhenko noted.

Valery Cherkashin, Director General of the Siberia Investment and Trade Company, in his turn presented the prospects of the business cooperation between Yenisey Siberia regions and Shandong province in the direction of natural food export and the establishment of joint ventures for processing these products.

As a result, the participants reached an agreement to continue the exchange of information and interaction on key cooperation avenues. Apart from that, it is planned to work out the issue of opening a show-room to demonstrate the products of Yenisey Siberia regions in Yantai.
