Today, a video conference presenting the investment potential of the Yenisey Siberia regions to the Trade Representative Office of Finland in Russia was held. Representatives of Yenisey Siberia Development Corporation presented a series of investment projects of Krasnoyarsk Region, the Republics of Tyva and Khakassia to interest the Finnish businesses.
Speaking on the competitive advantages of the Yenisey Siberia regions, Director General of the Corporation Sergei Ladyzhenko remarked that some projects from the Comprehensive Investment Project portfolio are likely to be brought into practice in the nearest future and may, therefore, be interesting for the Finnish companies.
Each of the Yenisey Siberia regions was presented separately with due regard to the specificity of their territories. Each presentation outlined the promising development opportunities of each the region. The presentation participants were presented the information on the most promising projects in the context of foreign investment and the regional support opportunities available for the investors and businesses.
The Trade Representative Office expressed a special interest in the projects related to the forest industry. For instance, the Finnish companies may be interested in technological cooperation, implying experience exchange and consulting under the projects run by Kraslesinvest and Segezha Group companies. The Finnish developers are actively working in the forest industry domain, implementing their successful cases in the territory of Russia, and manufacturing cellulose and paper production equipment that may be used for the project implementation.
The Representative Office also remarked the carbon and amorphous graphite sorbent production projects, explaining that facing the lack of such products, Finland would be interested in high-quality materials. Drawing a parallel between the climatic and natural conditions of Russia and Finland, the experts remarked the cooperation opportunities for Russia and Finland under the tourism projects of Yenisey Siberia.
According to the Trade Representative of the Russian Federation in Finland Sergey Sinelnikov, the Finnish are actively investing into Russian businesses, and the Trade Representative Office is ready to facilitate the promotion of the Yenisey Siberia Comprehensive Investment Project in its work.
Having identified the potential niches for the Finnish investment, Yenisey Siberia Development Corporation is about to form the proposal packages to be presented to the potential investors.
