In December, the Corporation of Yenisey Siberia Development and investors of the Yenisey Siberia Comprehensive Investment Project concluded a series of agreements on supporting local small and medium-sized enterprises. Among the companies agreed to involve local suppliers and service providers in their projects are Nizhneboguchanskaya Dam, Amican Mining Company, Severnaya Zvezda and Sibagro Biotech.
Representatives of large companies note that cooperation with local businesses has a number of competitive advantages. In particular, cooperation with local suppliers and contractors gives reduced logistics cost and requires shorter time for service provision while the control level is higher. But the main result is that the large companies invest into the local economy development, support and development of small and medium-sized businesses.
Director General of the Corporation of Yenisey Siberia Development Sergei Ladyzhenko believes that the volume of the orders received by local companies will grow over the coming years. “The projects of the Yenisey Siberia Comprehensive Investment Project are evolving from the engineering stage to the construction site activities, so the volume of supplies and services in demand will only grow. It is important for us to organize effective interaction between large investors and local businesses directing funds to the development of various industries in Yenisey Siberia regions,” said Sergey Ladyzhenko.
As a reminder, earlier similar agreements on supporting the development of small and medium-sized enterprises in Yenisey Siberia regions were made with ERA Group, COALSTAR and Kraslesinvest. Thus the SMEs platform already counts 7 active supporters.
