On December 5, the Yenisey Siberia Development Corporation and Kraslesinvest, JSC signed an agreement on supporting small and medium-sized local entrepreneurship within the SME platform framework. The platform is a tool used for local suppliers and contractors to participate in the delivery of the Yenisey Siberia Comprehensive Investment Project by rendering service and taking up the orders of large investor companies.
It is not just a way to optimize the logistics and speed up the services rendered for the companies involved in the implementation of the Comprehensive Investment Project due to the regional proximity of the small-sized businesses; it is also an opportunity for small and medium-sized companies from Krasnoyarsk Region, the Republic of Khakassia and the Republic of Tuva to get economic profit from the large-scale projects, to maximize their income and, in the future, to enhance the economic position of the regions, said Director General of the Yenisey Siberia Development Corporation Sergei Ladyzhenko.
“The attention of the large companies drawn to the local entrepreneurs matters a lot for us. Kraslesinvest JSC joined the ranks of the investors, interested in developing entrepreneurship in the territory of our regions. This is a win-win kind of cooperation; the businessmen will realize the improvement of their economic position due to the implementation of the Comprehensive Investment Project, as this is them who will enjoy the main part of the profit from the construction, provision of services and performance of the orders of large investors”, said Sergei Ladyzhenko.
Kraslesinvest JSC is not the first company that signed the agreement; previously, similar agreements on supporting small and medium-sized entrepreneurs in the territory of the Yenisey Siberia had been signed with ERA Group, JSC, and COALSTAR, LLC.
Kraslesinvest is involved in delivery of the Boguchansky timber processing complex, one of the largest investment projects for forest exploitation in the territory of Russia. It includes the establishment of a unique vertically integrated facility, that encompasses the entire timber processing cycle from the raw material treatment to the release of high added-value product. The newly established cellulose production facility is expected to produce high added-value goods, to create 2500 new permanent jobs and to launch a pellet plant with the capacity of around 105 thousand tons of product per year. The total investment value of the project will exceed 124 billion roubles, a part of which will be paid to local suppliers and contractors for the performance of associated works and provision of services to the investor companies.
