From 1 to 5 December the city of Sochi hosted Winter Island workshop on development of digital economics and innovative ecosystem in Russia. The workshop agenda was focused on different ideas proposed by ecosystem subjects and aimed at improvement of interregional cooperation development, interregional initiatives of the Russian federation constituent entities, and advanced instruments of cross regional cooperation at federal level.
The workshop was organised by Agency for Strategic Initiatives (ASI) promoting new projects, National Technology Initiative Platform (NTI Platform), National Technology Initiative University (NTI 20.35 University), Digital economy, Russian Venture Company (RVC JSC), HSE ISSEK Russian Cluster Observatory of Higher School of Economics University and Sirius Educational Centre.
Laboratory for Interregional Cooperation Acceleration held their plenary session devoted to Interregional Initiatives of the Russian Federation Constituent Entities on 3 December in the frame of the workshop. Head of public authorities cooperation branch in Corporation of Yenisey Siberia Development JSC, Ksenia Priverzentseva, was a speaker at this session.
The participants of plenary discussion shared their experience in implementation of interregional initiatives by constituent entities of the Russian federation, discussed the existing forms of interregional interaction and cooperation in terms of investment projects implementation, talked over major obstacles encountered in cluster development sphere and proposed possible ways to overcome them.
Comprehensive investment project Yenisey Siberia is the first and only state approved portfolio of projects being implemented at the territory of three regions with shared history, culture, geographic location and economy.
Yenisey Siberia Comprehensive Investment Project portfolio includes several interregional projects being implemented in three regions: the Krasnoyarsk Territory, the Republic of Khakassia and the Tyva Republic. These projects are: Construction of Elegest-Kyzyl-Kuragino railway line, Capacity increase at Artyshta-Mezhdurechensk-Tayshet railroad section, Creating a cross-border automobile corridor Krasnoyarsk-Abakan-Kyzyl-Khandagayty – Ulaangom – Khovd-Urumqi ets. And when successfully implemented these projects will produce a synergetic effect.
