Russian Ministry of Finance considered industrial and infrastructural projects of the Yenisey Siberia CIP

In Moscow, the working meeting on the projects and plans related to the Yenisey Siberia Comprehensive Investment Project was held, presided by the Deputy Minister of Finance of Russia – Secretary in Charge of the Taskforce for assistance to the new investment projects Andrei Ivanov. The meeting was visited by the representatives of the state authorities of Krasnoyarsk Region, the Republic of Khakassia, the Republic of Tuva, the Yenisey Siberia Development Corporation, and the CIP investor companies.

The process of implementation of the Yenisey Siberia investment projects was presented by the Chairman of the Government of Krasnoyarsk Region Sergei Vereshchagin, Acting Deputy Head – Chairperson of the Government of the Republic of Khakassia Irina Voynova, First Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Republic of Tuva Alexander Brokert.

At the meeting, the current issues of constructing the Abakan-Biysk motorway, construction of the deep grain processing facility at the premises of Siberia Agroindustrial Park, exploration of the gold ore deposits of Noyba area of the North Yeniseisk District of Krasnoyarsk Region, creation and development of the special industrial and production economic zone Krasnoyarsk Technological Valley, improvement of the production capacity of Chernogorsky and Abakansky coal pits, increase of the production capacity of the East Beysky coal pit, construction of the coal mining facility at Mezhegeyskoe Deposit of Ulug-Khemsky coal basin were discussed in great detail.

A special focus was made on the construction of the motor bridge across the Yenisey near Vysokogorsky Village in the Yeniseisk District of Krasnoyarsk Region. By the present moment, the project has been approved by the RF State Expert Evaluation Department. The project has been introduced to the Mainline Infrastructure Comprehensive Modernization and Expansion Plan till 2024. The construction of the two-lane bridge will ensure the all-year round transport accessibility of the settlements and industrial facilities in the Low Angara advanced development zone. The construction includes the arrangement of a motor crossing 2028.5 meters long with a traffic circle and connection to the common motorways.

The Government of Krasnoyarsk Region suggested the Government of Russia to consider the shift of the bridge construction to 2020. The Krasnoyarsk Region budget for the year 2020 considers the assignment of additional funds for the co-financing of the bridge construction project. The new infrastructure will enable the CIP investor companies to explore new gold ore deposits, and provide new opportunities for timber processing, construction of forest chemical plants on the right side of the Yenisey and to explore the deposits of such minerals as zinc, antimony, lead, magnesite, talc, and bauxites.
