The Yenisey Siberia Development Corporation has held a meeting dedicated to the development of jewellery production. The discussion was attended by the representatives of the regional jewellers’ community, management of the East Siberian State Inspectorate of Assay Supervision, and officials of the Yenisey Siberia Development Corporation.
The main theme for the dialogue was the development of the jewellery industry of the region by means of increasing the production efficiency and awareness of the local brands. The meeting participants remarked that even though Krasnoyarsk Region today is the centre for recovery, refining and production of precious metals, the local brands are hardly represented either at the regional or federal levels.
As a result of the meeting, the comprehensive approach intended to facilitate the sustainable development of the jewellery industry of Krasnoyarsk Region, the Republic of Khakassia and the Republic of Tuva was worked out. It was suggested to organize the work in two main sectors: to create a modern exhibition space to bring the local manufacturers together and to work on a recognized brand of jewellery produced in the territory of the three regions.
The Yenisey Siberia Jewellery Centre may work as a platform for presentation and sales of jewellery made by local crafters. Bringing the unique products together in the same place will create a gravity point for tourists and other customers. The event function also matters: it may be used to arrange educational and business events.
The meeting participants agreed that an essential tool for product promotion is the work on a unified jewellery brand design. Better recognition and a unified infrastructure will serve as a basis for the sustainable development of the jewellery industry of the three regions.
Director General of the Yenisey Siberia Development Corporation Sergei Ladyzhenko remarked that bringing the objectives and efforts of the local manufacturers together may yield a positive effect for the industry development. “Today, our manufacturers have an extensive experience and provide a wide range of high-quality products. We are interested in increasing the demand, so we agreed to make efforts to create a unified infrastructure”, said Sergei Ladyzhenko.
